Curtiss Lanford Busick Sr.

Mr. Curtiss Lanford Busick Sr., age 82, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Sovah Health in Martinsville. He was born on September 25, 1942 in Carroll County to the late Charlie and Catherine Goad Busick. Mr. Busick retired from Ararat Rock Products. Curtiss was an avid Nascar fan cheering for Chase Elliot. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Pruitt (Gary), Shelia Bowman (Greg); son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Busick Jr. (Michelle); grandchildren, Curtis Busick III, Cortney Busick, Mason Bowman, Brooke Bowman, Kayla Woodlief (John), Jennifer Card; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Card, and Lily Woodlief; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Busick, Carl Busick (Detra), Roy Busick (Barbara), Marlene Busick; sister, Hassie Dawson. In addition to his parents Mr. Busick was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Louise Busick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grover Busick (Betty), Wade Busick, and Sam Busick, Clarence Busick, Linda and Ann Busick. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Jimmy McCraw. Burial will follow in Flat Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home. The family requests that all who will, please wear your Nascar attire to the funeral.
