Mr. Czeslaw Chojnowski, 74, of Jonesville, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born September 1, 1936, in Poryte, Poland, to the late Wiktoria Brakoniecka and Ignacy Chojnowski. He retired from Lyon Healey in Chicago, IL as a gold plater. Mr. Chojnowski was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Stella Lake and her fiancé, William Kroeplin, of Jonesville, Sophie Abreu of Miami FL, and Theresa and Jose Sanchez of Chicago, IL; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jerry Chojnowski of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Christopher Chojnowski of Grand Prairie, TX, Anthony and Margaret Chojnowski of Chicago, IL, and Darek and Michele Chojnowski of Oak Forest, IL; his former wife, Anna Chojnowski of Stickney, I:; two sisters, Ana Zajkowski of Chiago, IL, and Wadyslawa Rafalwska of Poland; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chojnowski was preceded in death by his first wife, Eugenia Terepko Chojnowski; a son, Mark Chojnowski; and a brother, Peter Chojnowski. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 13, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Crestwood Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson.
