Mrs. Dae Reynolds Williams, age 87 of Stuart, Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 6, 2021, at her home. She was born in Critz, Virginia on May 4, 1934, to the late Hassie T. Reynolds and Mildred Fulcher Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dorn V. Williams, Sr., one brother, Buddy Reynolds, and three sisters, Elva Burgchardt, Ivis Hutcheson, and Mary Irvine Fasano. Mrs. Williams was lovingly known by many as “Mrs. Dae” or “Mama Dae” as her grandchildren called her. She ran many businesses with her husband Dorn over the last 50 years in Patrick County, Henry County, and the surrounding areas including: 34 years owning and operating Blue Ridge Nursing Center, which she enjoyed very much. Both employees and residents alike were important to her; she considered them not only friends, but family.
Surviving are three sons, D. Victor Williams, Jr. (Shirley), Gerald B. Williams (Adriana), both of Stuart, and Bart T. Williams (Donna), of Dublin, Virginia; six grandchildren, Tabitha (DJ), Courtney, Daniel (Ida), Tori (Brian), Tyler, and Christian; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mae Holloman, Drue R. Hurd, and Sue Smart; and a special niece, Kathryn Burgchardt.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be held Monday, August 9, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at Stuart Presbyterian Church with Reverend Danny Redman officiating. Entombment will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
