Daisy Ann Pruitt

Mrs. Daisy Ann Peele Pruitt, 82, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Surry Community Health and Rehab in Mt. Airy.  She was born in Surry County on March 14, 1937 to the late Howard and Lena Smith Peele.  Mrs. Pruitt retired from Renfro, and was a faithful member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband, Raymond Pruitt; a daughter, Robin Pruitt; a son, Alan Pruitt; grandchildren, Daniel Pruitt, and Courtney Pruitt Slate; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Gooch, Eva Davis, and Geneva Hicks; brothers, Warren Hicks, and Clay Peele.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Purdue, the Rev. Ryan Whitt, and the Rev. Wayne Mears officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
