Dale Eugene Carpenter

Mr. Dale Eugene Carpenter, 73, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning October 15, 2019 at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy.  Mr. Carpenter was born in Surry County on March 19, 1946 to the late Aldie and Edith Young Carpenter.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  Mr. Carpenter was a lifelong self-employed carpenter.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth Barger Carpenter; daughters, Victoria Harris and Regina Carpenter; grandchildren, Kimberly Lankford and Todd, Timothy Pond, Angela Wilson, Steven Wilson, Debra Wilson, and 9 additional grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; brothers and sister-in-law, Harold and Ann Carpenter, Greg and Shirley Carpenter, Dean and Cindy Carpenter, and Edward Leon and Linda Reavis; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Beasley and a brother, Larry Smith.  There will be a celebration of life for Mr. Carpenter at a later date.  Moody Funeral Services is proudly serving the Carpenter family.
