Dallas Layton Sawyers

Mr. Dallas Layton Sawyers, 57, of Ararat, VA passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.  He was born in Surry County on February 7, 1963, to Effie Bowman Sawyers and the late Layton Sawyers.  Mr. Sawyers retired from Advance Auto Parts, and a member of Doe Run Baptist Church in Ararat, VA.  Dallas was an amazing husband, and father.  His love for his family was his life.  Dallas loved being outside and enjoyed most in life watching his son Zach play ball, he lived for his family.  Anyone who knew him knew what a kind soul he was.  Dallas and Annette had been together for 40 years and always stood as one, they were each other’s lives.  He will be missed more than words can say.  He is survived by his wife, Annette Reid Sawyers; a son and daughter-in-law, Zachery and Sarah Sawyers; mother, Effie Bowman Sawyers.  In addition to his father Layton Sawyers was preceded in death by two sons, Jacob and Joshua Sawyers.  Due to the COVD-19 virus restrictions a private graveside service will be held at Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
