Dalton Ray Orndorff

Mr. Dalton Ray Orndorff, age 24, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Surry County on June 14, 1997, to Preston Bennett Orndorff and Laura Honeycutt Orndorff. Mr. Orndorff had previously worked for Walmart. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Laura Honeycutt Orndorff; father, Preston Bennett Orndorff; brothers, Douglas Honeycutt, Brandon Orndorff; aunts and uncles, Jan Quailheim, Greg and Tammy Marshall, Kelly and Lora Webb; maternal grandfather, Fred Honeycutt, paternal grandmother Hazel Tilley; nephews, Brandon, Braylin, Sammy and Austin Honeycutt; best friend, Shelly Sturgill. Mr. Orndorff was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Janis Honeycutt and his paternal grandfather, Mack Tilley. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy with services conducted by Rev. Thomas Baily, Rev. Robbie Sizemore, and Rev. Pete King. Burial will follow in Midkiff Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
