Dana Childress

Mrs. Dana Marie Childress, 55, passed away at her home, Thursday, April 1, 2021.  She was born in Forsyth County, August 24, 1965, to Alton Gray Childress, Sr. and the late Judith Rebecca Gardner Childress.  Mrs. Childress was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.  She will be greatly missed by all her family and all who knew her.  In addition to her father, Mrs. Childress is survived by her daughters, Casey Brown and husband Dustin, and T.J. Smith and fiancé Dylan Lamonds; grandchildren, Presley, Micah, Holland, and Maisie; a brother, Alton Gray Childress, Jr. and fiancée, Jill Kirk; and nieces Breanne Watson and husband Sidney, and Alisha Childress; and a great nephew Parker Watson.  In addition to her mother, Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca “Becky” Childress Lewis.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Moody Funeral Chapel with Dr. Wayburn Mosley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Dana Childress Memorial Fund, at any First Citizens Bank.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
