Daniel Francis MacIntosh

Mr. Daniel Francis “Dan” MacIntosh, 81, of Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 7, 2018, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. MacIntosh was born October 13, 1937, in Albany, NY, the son of the late Kenneth M. and Edith Fahd MacIntosh.  Dan was a self-employed carpenter for many years.  He is survived by his wife, Ellen Waldruff MacIntosh; two daughters, Kelly Jordan (James) and Tammy Waite (Lauren); a stepdaughter, Heather Teachout (Scott); a stepson, Bobby Graepel (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Benjamin Jordan, Andrea Jordan-Burton (Jeffrey), and Josie Waite; his stepgrandchildren, Justin Graepel, Brandon Graepel, Rachel Graepel, Ashley Teachout, Natalie Teachout, and Nathan Teachout; his great-grandchildren, Emma Burton and Elena Burton; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. MacIntosh was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvera Shutter and Dorothy O’Neal; and a brother, Kenneth M. MacIntosh, Jr.  A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.
