Daniel Harrison Minor

Mr. Daniel Harrison Minor, 78, of 177 Alleghany Lane, Pilot Mountain, passed away Friday morning, December 17, 2010, at his home. Mr. Minor was born May 28, 1932, in Guilford County, son of the late William Robert and Donie Elizabeth Wright Minor. Daniel served our country in the United States Air Force following World War II. He retired as a truck driver from W.L.A. Inc. and was a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Mary Janice Douglas Minor of the home; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Donald and Alex Minor of Summerfield, Craig and Dawn Minor and Michael and Marty Minor, all of Greensboro, Douglas and Joan Minor of Level Cross, Jerry Minor of the home, and Gary and Mary Minor of Mount Airy; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Kizer of Kernersville; twelve grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Gene Switzer of Cogan Station, PA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Minor was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Keller; and a brother, William Robert Minor, Jr. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 4:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Robbie Vance officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
