Danny Ray Bowman

Mr. Danny Ray Bowman, 45, of Claudville, VA, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Bowman was born April 20, 1964, in Surry County, to Barbara Puckett Bowman and the late Jesse Junior Bowman. He was a retail supervisor with Mount Airy Oil Company. Surviving are his mother, Barbara Puckett Bowman of the home; two sisters, Jewel Haynes of Ararat, VA, and Betty Fay Bowman of Claudville, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Mary Bowman of Dobson; three nephews, Josh McGrady, Austin McGrady, and Jamie Bowman; two nieces, Misty Lane and Jessica Pack; seven great nephews; a great niece; and several special friends. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Darren Slate officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowman Family Cemetery in Ararat, VA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
