Danny James Willard

Mr. Danny James Willard, 49, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at his home. Mr. Willard was born August 21, 1960, in Carroll County, VA, to Otis James Willard and the late Lillian Berrier. He is survived by sons, Danny James Willard, II of Portsmouth, VA, Dylan Sechrist of Statesville, and three other sons; his father and stepmother, Otis James and Frances Willard of Cana, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Cathy Willard of St. Charles, MO; and his girlfriend, Karen VanHoy of the home. In addition to his mother, Mr. Willard was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Willard. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Russell Vass officiating. Burial will follow in the Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist with the funeral expenses.
