Mrs. Daphne Pauline Ayers, age 73, of Mt. Airy, after a courageous battle with cancer walked into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital of Mt. Airy. She was born in Surry County on January 3, 1949, to the late Owen and Pauline “Polly” Nichols Quesinberry. Mrs. Ayers had attended Blue Ridge Fellowship in Woodlawn, VA. Mrs. Ayers is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Timothy Blake Ayers; sister Suzanne Q. Foushee; brother and sister-in-law, Freddie and Cathy Quesinberry; step-children, Taffi Ayers, Autumn Ayers, Joe Ayers; step-grandchildren, Liam Giggins, Mia Giggins; nephew, Michael Foushee; nieces, Melissa Quesinberry, Abigail Quesinberry (Josh Schmittner), Jill Quesinberry, Elizabeth and Adrian Chavez; great-nieces, Mireya Chavez, Liliana Chavez, Caroline Chavez, great-nephew and niece twins, Owen and Isabel Schmittner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her twin brother, Dudley Owen Quesinberry; a niece Amber Nicole Foushee, and her sister-in-law and best friend, Carolyn Geiger Quesinberry. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 2pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by her Pastor Scott Flippin. The family will receive friends from 1pm until time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2211 W. Meadowview Rd, #30, Greensboro, NC, 27407 in honor of her sister, Suzanne; St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105; or to The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC, 27017.
