Darrell Lee Hornaday

Mr. Darrell Lee Hornaday, 59, of Mt. Airy passed away at Pruitt Health Care in Elkin Friday, November 22, 2019.  He was born in Melbourne, FL May 6, 1960 to the late William Junior and Lula Runelle Hornaday.  Mr. Hornaday is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Lawson Hornaday; daughter, Brittny Hornaday; son Roger Hornaday; grandchildren, Tyler, Allison, Adrianna, Malachi, Joshua, Silas and Zapassion; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Tony Wood; and a brother, Rusty Hornaday.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hornaday was preceded in death by a son William Darrell Hornaday.  A funeral service will be held at Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM Sunday, November 24, 2019 with Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating.  A private interment will be later.  The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
