Daryl Grant Holcomb

Mr. Daryl Grant Holcomb, 71, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday morning, October 2, 2019, at his home.  Mr. Holcomb was born December 2, 1947, in Surry County, one of three children born to the late Cranford Leon and Mary Ruth Beeson Holcomb.  Daryl was a self-employed carpenter for many years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends, along with playing football with his son.  Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Jodi Long of Clemmons; a son, Travis Brown of Winston-Salem; three precious grandchildren, whom he adored, Preslie Long, Chloe Long, and Gaige Long, all of Clemmons; and a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Janet Holcomb of Sarasota, FL.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Lynn Brown Holcomb; and a sister, Diane Holcomb Durham.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Kevin Combs officiating.  Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home and following the service at the home of his sister-in-law, Joy Serena, 1767 Fancy Gap Road, Mount Airy.
