David Walter Erickson, Jr.

David Walter Erickson, Jr., 54, of Mount Airy, gained a Heavenly birthday on July 8, 2022, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Long Island, NY on July 8, 1968, to Darlene Julia Roshinko Erickson and the late David Walter Erickson, Sr.  David worked at Synagro Corp. for many years until his health declined.  David loved music, playing the drums and guitar.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.  Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Regina “Gina” Erickson; sons, Kevin Erickson and fiancé Amber Moser, Josh and Morgan Erickson, and Matthew Erickson; stepchildren, Tessa and Robby Shelton and Matthew Allen; grandchildren, Zackary Ryan Erickson, Luke James Erickson, Abraham Owen Erickson, Gabby Nichole Erickson, and Skyler Grace Erickson; step grandson, Colton Dean Shelton; sisters, Dolores and Joe Matarazzo, and Debbie Erickson; and a host of other family and friends.  A private memorial service for David will be held at his home at a later date.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Erickson family.
