David Leroy Farris

Mr. David Leroy Farris, age 43 of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Moses Cone Hospital. Mr. Farris was born in Surry County, November 10, 1962 to Joy Marion Goad and the late Jimmy Farris. He was a loving father and was a self employed auto dealer. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Tracy Burcham of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Alicia Farris of the home; two step sons, Richard Sink and Raymond Sink both of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Ean Burcham and Erika Burcham both of Mount Airy; his mother, Joy Marion Goad of Mount Airy; two sisters and brother-in-law, Diane Key of Cana and Dawn and Steven Payne of Mount Airy; a brother, James Darrell Farris of Mount Airy and his girlfriend, Claudine Sink of Mount Airy. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Oakdale Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Randy Edwards. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Monday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
