David Alan Lawson

Mr. David Alan Lawson age 43 of 999 Norman Road, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Shanda Hiatt Lawson passed away Thursday July 10, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born March 26 1965 in Surry County to the late Elmer Coy and Brooksie Wilson Lawson. He was a self employed construction worker and was a car dealer. He was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Shanda H. Lawson of the home, a daughter, Brooksie Nicole Lawson of the home, four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Geneva and Jim Johnson, Sue and Ron Sumner, Cindy and David Miller all of Mt. Airy and Shirley and Bob Wright, Greenville, SC, five brothers and sisters-in-law, Coy and Katie Lawson, Winston- Salem, Billy and Lois Lawson, Pilot Mountain, Richard and Barbara Lawson, Ararat, NC, Dean and Eileen Lawson, Terry and Susie Lawson all of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2008 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mt. Airy conducted by Rev. Jonathan Doss and Rev. Elmo Hiatt. Burial will follow in Shining Light Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Sunday night at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Derrick L.
