David Ray (Best Dad Ever) Pruitt

Mr. David Ray Pruitt (Best Dad Ever), age 54, of Dobson, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Surry County on July 22, 1967, to the late Dallas Ray and Carol June Nester Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt was employed by Lowes Companies where he had worked for the past 30 Years.  He was a member of Blues Grove Baptist Church, where he attended faithfully, his entire life.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 29 years, Sherrie Hall Pruitt; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Pruitt (Taylor); daughter, Emily Pruitt.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 11:00am at Blues Grove Baptist Church with services conducted by Pastors Sammy Lawson, and Travis Sechrist.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Blues Grove Baptist Church.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his cousins for the love and compassion given to Mr. Pruitt.
