David Douglas Schaub

Mr. David Douglas Schaub, age 73, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  He was born June 21, 1947, in Yellow Springs, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carleton O. Schaub and Helen Yarbrough Schaub.  David was a disabled veteran of the US Marine Corps. and was an avid hunter.  Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Georgia Snow Schaub; daughters and sons-in-law, Buffy and Shawn James, Dusty and Brad Wall; grandchildren, Dakota Simmons, Brodie and Courtney Simmons, Chloe James, Isaac Boles; great-granddaughter, Ahlayha Pulliam; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dianne and Ralph Linville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Gary and Marilyn Snow; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Pam Wood, Opal and Steve Wright, Earl Hancock and Dr. Emily Byrd.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Schaub was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Schaub and a brother-in-law, Larry Snow.  A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 2:00 pm in the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Henley, Rev. Jimmy Pardue and Pastor Tanner Wood officiating.  Being mindful of COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials can be made to Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Anndrea Phillips, 127 Chaney Lane, Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Schaub family.
