David Wayne Wilson

Mr. David Wayne Wilson, 55, of Westfield, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mr. Wilson was born September 7, 1955, in Surry County, to Troy and Betty Jean Vaughn Wilson. He was a member of the Way of Escape Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Deborah McConkey Wilson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Catlin Morgan of Sandy Ridge and Amy and Barry Tilley of Westfield; three sons, Troy Wilson and Chris Wilson, both of Westfield, and Jerry Wilson of Mount Airy; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Debra Buck and Ruth and James Wyatt, all of Trinity, and Joann Ridge of High Point; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Daniel and Judy Wilson of Trinity, and Mark and Deanna Wilson and Mathew Wilson, all of Sophia. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by a grandchild, Barry Dean Tilley, II; and a niece, Ashley Elizabeth McConkey. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 11, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church, by the Rev. Tim Davis and the Rev. Rodney Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
