David Leo Wilson

Mr. David Leo Wilson, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Wilson was born January 12, 1949, in Washington, D.C., to Sherman Leo and Jeanne Robson Wilson. He was a retired printer and landscaper. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanette Savage of Johnson City, NY; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Wilson of Glendale, AZ, and Keith and Lisa Wilson of Michigan; three grandchildren, Megan Wilson, Evelyn Wilson, and Robert Wilson; a sister, Cheryl L. Rhoades of Eva, AL; his stepmother, Betty Wilson of Mount Airy and two stepbrothers, George Wilson and Michael Wilson, both of Mount Airy. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Blues Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1401 Old Mill Circle, Suite B, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
