Mrs. Debbie Jessup Hutchins, 60, of 125 Sweet Magnolia Lane, Mount Airy, went to her heavenly home through her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday night, May 19, 2010, from Northern Hospital of Surry County after several months of declining health. Mrs. Hutchins was born September 20, 1949, in Surry County, daughter of the late John L. and Estelle Marie Quesinberry Jessup. She was formerly employed as a nursing assistant at Twelve Oaks and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Debbie was a special wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was an avid sports fan, always going to North Surry football and basketball games with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ronnie G. Hutchins of the home; a daughter, Daphne Hutchins and her fiancé, Daniel Boyles, of Mount Airy; a son, Gray Hutchins of Sanford; five grandchildren, Brandon Hutchins of Sanford, and Heather Hutchins, Lily Boyles, D.J. Boyles, and Hugo Boyles, all of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Roger Hill of Mount Airy; several nieces and nephews; an aunt; and numerous cousins. The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Bailey Elmore, the Rev. David Tolbert, and the Rev. James Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The family is especially grateful for the support and care of the 4th floor ICU staff at Northern Hospital of Surry County. The family also thanks the Dobson Rescue Squad, Surry County EMS, and the staff at Northwest Medical Partners.
