Deborah Jean Barrett

Ms. Deborah Jean “Debbie” Barrett, 55, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Chicago, IL to Clara Lakomiak Barrett and the late Frederick Barrett. Debbie was a loving mother who cherished sharing time with her sons Jason and Michael.  She was an avid animal lover, and enjoyed taking care of her cats, Shady and Trooper.  She preferred curling up with a good book, listening to music, and spending time with her family.  In addition to her mother and her sons, Debbie is survived by a sister, Sandra (Gregory) Bay; and two brothers, LeRoy and Erik Barrett.  “A loving mother, beloved aunt and friend, she will be missed greatly.”  To honor her wishes, a formal service is not planned.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
