Deborah Byrd

Ms. Deborah Rakes Byrd, age 60 of Ridgeway, passed away April 1, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Martinsville on March 5, 1959 to the late Leonard and Emma Weaver Rakes.  She had been a private duty nurse.

Surviving are three brothers, Eric Rakes of Greenville, VA, Kent Rakes of Elkton, VA, Douglas Rakes of Staunton, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Rakes Family Cemetery in Stuart.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
