Deborah "Debbie" Ann Collins Butner

Deborah “Debbie” Ann Collins Butner, 68, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center, Saturday morning August 13, 2022.  Debbie was born in Patrick County, October 3, 1953, to the late Victor Arnold Collins and Alpha Mae Collins Collins.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a friend to many.  She owned and operated Cousin Gary’s Family Restaurant in Pilot Mountain for over 31 years.  She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Randall Butner; two daughters, Gina Erickson, and Cindy Buckler and husband Rick; stepdaughter, Lori and Mark Culler; stepsons, Wayne and Debbie Butner, Daniel Butner and Tracy Young, and Todd and Debbie Butner; grandchildren, Tessa and Robby Shelton, Matthew Allen, Devin Buckler, and Averi Buckler; great-grandson, Colton Dean Shelton; 14 siblings; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Nanny was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Haley Allen; three siblings; and a sons-in-law, Todd Allen and David Erickson.  A service of worship and celebration of Debbie’s life will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home at 1:00PM with Brother DC Collins officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM.  The family would like to thank all of the Cousin Gary’s family for all of the love and support to her and the business throughout the years.  Following the service, the family will be gathering at the home of Debbie and Randall.
