Mrs. Debra Lee “Cricket” Robinson, age 63 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was born in Patrick County on August 23, 1960, to Junior Hiatt and Mabel Bowman Hiatt. She was preceded in death by her father. Cricket was a woman of strong faith and spirituality. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her roses, being outdoors, and geocaching. She loved riding on her motorcycle, a Harley Davidson of course. She was a teacher for over 20 years, shaping young minds and helping students build their future was her passion. She will be remembered for her bright smile and loving personality.
Cricket is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Kurt Robinson; a son, Zack Robinson; a stepdaughter, Melissa Robinson; her mother, Mabel Hiatt; siblings, Joe and Joyce Hiatt, Robert and Angela Hiatt, Tracie Hiatt and Kevin Mabe, Jon and Adrienne Hiatt; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and sister, Vernie Dalton Downs.
Funeral services for Cricket will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 2:00 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Joe Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Stuart Cemetery.
