Debra Colleen Johnson Shannon

Ms. Debra Colleen Johnson Shannon, 54, of Elkin, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, March 27, 2010. She was born December 23, 1955, in Surry County, to Elizabeth Lulamae Yarboro Johnson and the late Coy Junior Johnson. Ms. Shannon was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three daughters, Teresa and husband Edward Waller of Thurmond, Sheila Snow of Jonesville, and Nita and husband Eric Eads of Traphill; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Crystal Martin of Roaring River; eleven grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and David Childress of Jonesville; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Lynn Johnson of Hamptonville. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 3:00 PM at Little Richmond Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Jerry Yarboro officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 1:30 until the time to depart for the graveside service.
