Debra Kathy Tate

Ms. Debra Kathy Tate, 65, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday night, May 22, 2022.  She was born in Surry County, NC on September 13, 1956, to Annie Faye Edwards Tate and the late Dallas Junior Tate.  She was a loving mother, Nanny, sister, daughter, and friend who will be deeply missed.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Alexandria Faye “Twiggy” Sechrist Mills and husband Bobby Joe “BJ” Mills, and Debbie Gaye Sechrist Inman and husband Lane; grandchildren, Nathan Mills, Nevin Mills and wife Courtney, Alexandria “Allie” Hope Inman, Noah Lane Inman, and Faith Nicole Newman and husband Kenny; great-grandchildren, Jaxen Mills and Bridgett Newman; sisters, Betty Gail Tate Collins, Lisa Lorraine Tate Shinault and husband Jay, Nelda Joy Tate Northly and Joe, Sandra Faye Tate Potts, Sylvia Tate, Lucille Wimbly and husband Samuel, Maude Jeanette Tate, Mary Denise Tate, and Misty Tate; a brother, Charles Lee Tate; a host of nieces and nephews; and her special kitty’s, Smokey and Bandit.  There are no formal services planned for Ms. Tate at this time.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Tate family.
