Debra "Pooh" Parkes

Mrs. Debra “Pooh” Lynn Parkes, age 59, of Lowgap, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  She was born in Forsyth County on January 20, 1962 to the late Charles and Helen Sutphin Parkes.  Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 38 years, James Larry Joyce; son, Dustin Parkes; sister, Patty Parkes; brothers and sister-in-law, Harvey Parkes, Charlie Parkes and Bobby and Sharon Parkes as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Parkes was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lovell; sister, Sandy Brookshire and a brother Ricky Parkes.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Bro.
