Delana Snow McCann

Mrs. Delana Snow McCann, widow of Ralph W. McCann and former resident of Dobson, died Friday, January 5, 2007 after suffering a massive stroke in September 2006. Mrs. McCann was the daughter of the late Dick and Laura Snow. She retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company in Elkin. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and in recent years attended Grace Baptist Temple in Winston-Salem. Surviving are her son Jeff and wife Diana of Winston-Salem with whom she had made her home for the past six years. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nathan McCann and wife Dreena of St. Clair, Mo., and Melanie McCann of Raleigh, NC; her great-grandchildren Andrew, Megan and Claire McCann of St. Clair, MO. In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. McCann was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday January 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Union Cross Baptist Church, Elkin, NC with Rev. Ed Sears and Rev. Zeno Groce officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 3 to 5 PM at Moody-
Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. The family requests memorials be made to The Tab and Elizabeth Williams Adult Day Center PO Box 1321, Winston-Salem, NC 27102-1321. The family would like to express appreciation to The Williams Adult Day Center for their care for the past three years. Also, the physicians, nurses and staff at Wake Med. Raleigh; Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center ED, ACE unit, 10 Ardmore Tower, 11 Ardmore Tower, Intermediate Care Unit, ICU6C and the Palliative Care Unit for all the care and compassion over the past 3 ½ months.
