Delcie Mae Quesinberry Montgomery

Mrs. Delcie Mae Quesinberry Montgomery, age 89, Ararat, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born on January 7, 1935 in Patrick County to the late Merritt and Georgia Keith Quesinberry. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wilson Montgomery (Jackie Hiatt), Grayson Montgomery, Madison Montgomery (Karen), Claude Montgomery Jr., Blanchard Montgomery, and Robert Montgomery (Shannon); fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Freida Bullins; brothers, Roy Quesinberry, Odell Quesinberry (Amy). In addition to her parents Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Elbert Montgomery Sr., sisters, Imalene Bowman, Virdy Forman, Geraldine Culler; brothers, Charlton and Cecil Quesinberry. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Raven Rock Wesleyan Church with service conducted by Pastor Joseph Easter. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM until the time for the service at the church. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and the staff of the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their support and care given during this difficult time.
