Della Kathleen Dobbins Dunigan

Mrs. Della Kathleen Dobbins Dunigan, 92, widow of Mr. Oscar F. Dunigan, of Elkin passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born in Surry County on August 27, 1918 to the late Stephen Gilmer and Ada Dockery Dobbins. Mrs. Dunigan was a beloved homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanie and Jerry Ring of North Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Jennifer Ring, Josh Ring and Jada Ring; a great-grandson, Damion Parsons a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Wanda Dobbins of Mount Airy and a special niece, Debbie Rogers. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dunigan was preceded in death by two sisters, Maurice Dobbins and Fairy Wall and a brother, Stephen Dobbins, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday June 30, 2011 at Moody-Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Ralph Groseand Chapalin Stewart Roten with burial to follow in Union Cross Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
