Della Clark Hawks

Mrs. Della Clark Hawks, age 99 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart, on Saturday, June 30, 2018.  She was born in Patrick County on October, 14, 1918 to the late Bud Clark and Allie Biggs Clark.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander “Alex”  Hawks; 2 sisters, Mae Martin and Annie Sue Hawks; and 5 brothers, Clarence, Dallas, Joseph, Marion, and George Clark.    She was a long time member of Concord United Methodist Church and had retired from Bassett Walker.

            Mrs. Hawks is survived by 2 sisters, Martha Hutchens of Stuart and Dorothy Mills of Spencer and numerous nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services for Mrs. Hawks will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Mark Clayton officiating.  Burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday morning at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Concord United Methodist Church, 1497 Concord Church Rd., Stuart, VA 24171.
