Della Marie McMillian

Mrs. Della Marie Johnson Timmons McMillian, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away at her home December 1, 2019.  She was born in Surry County July 8, 1946 to the late James Sanford and Mamie Pauline Snow Johnson.  Mrs. McMillian is survived by her daughter, Paula Pina; grandchildren and spouses, Christopher and Wendy Martin, Rhonda Atkins Harrell and Daniel Harrell; grandchildren, Kory, Andrew, Peyton, Braxton, Jagger, Hadlee, Kadence, Haven, Kaylie and Korbin; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Lloyd Tilley; and a brother, Leon Johnson.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McMillian was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Russell Timmons; her second husband, Tom McMillian; grandchildren, Crystal Martin and Michael Martin; great-grandchild, Cayden; sisters, Judith Johnson and Myrtle Johnson; brothers Oliver and William Johnson.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Monday, December 9, 2019 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Ararat, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday from 1:00 until the time of the service.
