Della Mae Allen Reece

Mrs. Della Mae Allen Reece, age 60, of Ararat, VA, passed away Thursday morning, August 5, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital. She was born in Forsyth County on December 17, 1960, to the late Floyd Ellis Allen and Virginia Mae Gwynn Allen. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Angelena and Kyle Thomas, Amanda and Jerry Galyean, Rozalena Guynn, and Hope and Bradley Wiles; a son, Randy Lee Brown; 7 grandchildren, Nathaniel Easter, David Allen, Stephanie Goard, Carson Wiles, Easton Wiles, Autumn Thomas and Macklin Thomas; sisters, Glenda “Mahaley” Hylton and Teresa “Darlene” Love; brothers, Ernest Allen and Robert Allen; a special niece, Gail Smith and her husband Tony; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Guynn; and by two brothers, William Ellis Allen and Franklin “Hambone” Allen. A service of worship and celebration of Della’s life will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Reece family.
