Delores Ann Manuel

Mrs. Delores “Ann” Smith Manuel, 83, of Ararat, VA passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy. She was born in Guilford County on April 9, 1938, to the late Charles Thomas and Thelma McDaniel Smith. Mrs. Manuel retired from Northern Hospital of Surry County as a Registered Nurse, and a member of Doe Run Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela “Pam” Crowson and David, Wanda Hall and Bobby; a son, Jerry “Buddy” Alton Manuel, Jr.; grandchildren and spouses, Cody Hall and Emily, Joshua Hall and Haley, Elizabeth Hall, Scott Manuel, Steven Manuel, Jordan Crowson and Michelle, Nathan Crowson, Luke Crowson, Rebekah Crowson; great grandchildren, Wyatt Hall, Jackson Hall, and twins on the way; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy “Widdie” Brown and Bob. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Manuel was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Alton Manuel, Sr.; a sister, Sandra Spillman. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
