Delphia Marie Thomas

Mrs. Delphia Marie Hiatt Thomas, age 86, of Mount Airy, passed away, Wednesday , February 3 , 2021 at  Village Care of  King. She was born February 4, 1934 in Surry County to the late James Rufus Hiatt and the late Hattie Hester Haynes Hiatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil L. Thomas; son-in-law, Larry Coe; sisters, Hazel Johnson and Lois Watson; and a brother, John M Watson. Mrs. Thomas Worked at Roses in the cafeteria and was a faithful member of Union Hill Friends Church, when her health permitted. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Deborah Coe; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Gaynell Thomas and Ronald G. and Patricia Thomas, grandchildren, Pamela Coe, Donna Thomas, Josh (Kristy) Coe, Casey (Rebecca) Thomas; step-grandchildren, Brandy Kline and Scotty Bryant; five great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Union Hill Friends Church. The service will follow at 11:00 A.M with Reverend Ernest Brown and Reverend Ronald Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missionary Circle at Union Hill Friends Church, 2315 Red Brush Road, Mount Airy NC, 27030. Facemasks will be required in the church as well as practicing proper social distancing. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Thomas Family.
