Delta Orene Hawks

Mrs. Delta Orene Hawks, age 73, of Lowgap, passed away on Thursday, November 08, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Carroll County on August 10, 1945 to Ethel Combs Hawks and the late Yancy Hawks.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Janet Hawks, Charles and Diane Hawks; daughter, Linda Hawks; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Wavearn Hawks and Michael and Frances Hawks, sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal Edwards and Annie Faye Spencer and her husband Bill. In addition to her father Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Clyde Hawks, son Randy Hawks and a sister Ruby Davis. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church with Services Conducted by Elders VJ Hawks, Michael Hawks and Arwood Edwards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
