Dennis Wayne Cain

Mr. Dennis Wayne Cain, age 62 of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday morning February 12, 2024, at his home.  He was born September 17, 1961, in Surry County to the late Pete Hayrue Cain and Hattie Lee Golding Cain.  Mr. Cain retired from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and was a member of Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616. Dennis was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He loved to take family vacations to Tennessee, have breakfast with the boys, go Harley riding, and going to The Pit on Thursday and Saturday.  If you couldn’t find him at the house, he would most likely be at Snow’s Garage with the boys tinkering with the Harley’s.  Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Morgan Cain (Mark Gallimore), and Maycee Cain (Luke Fleming); two grandsons, Landon Cain and Ace Cain; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deena and Vince Willis, and Robin and Mike Dollyhigh; nieces and nephews, Seth and Jessica Perry, Amoree Willard, Corinna Dollyhigh, and Cainan and Levi Rippey; great nieces and nephew, Abi Willard, Ella Willard, and Cooper Perry; several cousins; and special friends, Jamie Cain, Van Snow, Mike Snow, Doug Young, Marty Simpson, Todd Beverly, David Sowards, Mark Knowles, Ricky Hawks, Kristen Lankford, and Denny and Tammy Simmons.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his special friend, Brent Hull, cousin, Terry Marion, and many aunts and uncles.  A celebration of life for Dennis will be held on Thursday February 15, 2024, at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  The Cain family will receive friends on Thursday at Moody’s from 1:00 – 2:00pm.  The family would like to say thank you to Van Snow and The Pit for all of the love, laughter, and memories.  “Come unto me, I will give you rest”  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
