Dennis Gray Davis

Dennis Gray Davis, age 74, of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away on July 29, 2019 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Davis was born in Surry County on February 26, 1945 to the late Robert Hall Davis and Esther Neoma Easter Davis. He was a veteran of the US Army and a self-employed appliance repairman. Surviving are his wife, Diane Kay Hamilton Davis; son, Terry Linn Davis and daughter-in-law Kenda Woodruff Davis; grandchildren, Jessica Davis and Kimberly Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Jerry Allred; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Glenda Hamilton, Richard and Linda Hamilton, Michael and Alice Hamilton; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Lee Atkins, Tony Collins and Billy Joe Griffin. A graveside service will be held on August 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Country Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Davis, Rev. Bobby Freeman, Jr., Rev. Woody Flippen, Rev. Blaine Oakley and Rev. Johnny Hawks officiating. Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm on Friday August 2, 2019 at the church.
