Mr. Dennis McKinley Moncus, age 61, of Lowgap, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, at his residence. He was born November 29, 1955, in Galax, Virginia to the late Curtis McKinley Moncus and Millie Elizabeth Johnson Moncus. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Hutchins Moncus; his daughter Lisa Ann Moncus (James Turner) ; his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Amanda Moncus; his grandchildren, Haley Acord, Blaze Acord, Colton Acord, Addison Hull, Tilden Moncus and Trace Moncus; great-grandchildren, Eaton and Annsleigh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Cecil Stanley, and Graydell and Sam Sizemore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Odell Curt and Nadine Moncus, Ricky and Cindy Moncus and Larry Moncus. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 1-2 PM and Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Saddle Mountain Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Ennice, NC.
