Dewey Gray Hardy

Mr. Dewey Gray Hardy, age 62 of Dobson passed away on Friday morning January 30, 2009 at Hoots Memorial Hospital in Yadkinville. Mr. Hardy was born in Surry County on March 17, 1946 to the late Charlie Martin Hardy and the late Jennie McKinney Hardy. He was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church and was retired from Cross Creek. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three half brothers, and three half sisters. Surviving are a sister Nancy Hardy Davis of Dobson; a brother and sister-in-law Charlie J. and Peggy Hardy of Siloam; by a niece Peggy Davis Murray of Dobson and a nephew Mark J. Hardy of Siloam.
Funeral services will be held 2 :00 PM Sunday February 1, 2009 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brother Tim Smith will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
