Diana Lynn Aiken

Ms. Diana Lynn Aiken, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009, at her home. Ms. Aiken was born October 8, 1947, in Port Huron City, MI, to the late Wilbert and June Cumerlato Vyse. She loved simple things in life. She worked for several years with the Maryland National Capitol Park and Planning Commission. She was known for her gentle demeanor and cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Carta of Annapolis, MD; two sons, Charles Aiken of Mount Airy and Kenneth Aiken of Prince Frederick, MD; along with her eight grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 30, 2009, at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Russell Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
