Dicie Jane Ring O'Neal

Mrs. Dicie Jane Ring O’Neal, age 96 of Mount Airy passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at her home. Mrs. O’Neal was born on December 20, 1925, in Surry County to the late John and Eulalia Radford Ring. Dicie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Surviving are her two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara O’Neal Cain and husband, Roy, Kathy O’Neal Robertson and husband, Ronnie; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Cliff O’Neal and wife Susan, Dennis O’Neal and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Mary Cain, Jacob O’Neal, Julie O’Neal, Tracy O’Neal, Lynn O’Neal, Daniel Robertson and wife Annette; Hannah Robertson and husband, Shawn, Sharon Robertson and husband, Kevin, Amy Belton and husband, Jerome, Nathan Robertson, Brandon O’Neal and wife Jennie; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maude O’Neal, Ruth McMillian; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Ed Beasley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. O’Neal was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Franklin O’Neal; four sister, Rachel McMillian, Claire Mears, Ila Gunnell, Dorothy Tate; three brothers, Ernest Ring, Emery Ring, Delbert Ring; one grandson, Michael Cain; two great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Cain, and Abbagail Cain. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Rev. Tom Delph and Rev. Fred Miller officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
