Donald Leroy Davis

Mr. Donald Leroy Davis, age 92, of Lowgap, NC passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Davis was born in Surry County, September 20, 1929, the son of the late Dexter and Artie Ward Davis. He was retired as plant manager of Woodruff’s Evergreens after many years of service. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War and a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Doris Mitchell Davis; a daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Tim Keady; a grandson Shaun Patrick Keady and his wife, Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ava Dale Hodge and Janet Davis, and his brothers, Delon Davis, Deward Davis, and Avon Davis. There will be a private funeral service for family and close friends, and he will be interred in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, 8704 West Pine St., Lowgap, NC 27024. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the Davis family.
