Donald Gray Draughn

Mr. Donald Gray Draughn, age 80, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, February 01, 2019, at Yadkin Hospice Home.  Mr. Draughn was born in Surry County on June 25, 1938, to Dallas E. Draughn, Sr. and Kathleen Coalson Draughn.  Don loved to listen to his bluegrass music as he walked many miles here in town.  He was a kind and loving brother.  His memory will forever be cherished by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Linda Draughn and Phillip and Becky “Betty” Draughn; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Draughn was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Barker.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jack Anderson and Rev. Doug Cockerham.  Burial will follow in Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
