Donald Ray Gravely

Mr. Donald Ray Gravely, age 83 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Central Continuing Care in Mt Airy.  He was born on April 3, 1935 to the late Marion and Elvira Portis Gravely.  Mr. Gravely proudly served our country in the United States Army and was retired from the dry cleaning business.  Left to cherish his memories are Cousins, Clara Easter, Carol Hensley, Mary Lee Gravely, Bud Gravely, Katie Callahan, Sylvia Hall and many other cousins.  In addition to his parents Mr. Gravely was preceded in death by sisters, Annie, Thelma and Magalene Gravely.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 AM Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Elmo Hiatt. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
