Donald Marion

Mr. Donald Marion, 83, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.  He was born in Surry County to the late Vance William Marion, Sr. and Bertha Atkins Marion.  Mr. Marion retired from John S. Clark and was a faithful member of Blues Grove Baptist Church.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 year, Rachel East Marion; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Marion and James Browder, and Lynne and Tony Beck; sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Pam Marion, and Michael Marion; grandchildren, Drake Beck and Tara Beck; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vance Junior Marion and Shirley, and Hugh and Carol Marion.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Marion was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Atkins, Callie Marshall, and Doris Pruitt; and a brother Cecil Marion.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Blues Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Sechrist, Rev. Zane Fishel and Brother Sammy Lawson officiating.
