Donald Reid Puckett

Mr. Donald Reid Puckett, 54, of West Dodson Mill Road, Pilot Mountain, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008, after an extended illness. He was born January 4, 1954, in Forsyth County, to Bertha Hall Puckett Thomas and the late A. Ralph Puckett. He is survived by his daughter, Desiree Annette Puckett of Mount Airy; his mother, Bertha Hall Puckett Thomas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rebecca Puckett Johnson of Winston-Salem, Robin and Timothy Tesh of Germanton; three brothers, Charles Puckett of Mount Airy, Arnold Lee Puckett of Cana, VA, and Keith Puckett of Fancy Gap, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon "Sherry" Towe Puckett; and his stepfather, Robert W. Thomas. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 16, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. David Raiford, and burial will follow in the Mount Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, November 15, 2008, from 7:00 until 9:00 at the funeral home.
